How do I book a trek with LogOut Kashmir?
Booking with LogOut Kashmir is simple & hassle free. You can either book your trek yourself on our official website or you can call or whatsapp us & our representative will guide you through the process. On our website follow the steps below:
- Click on the trek you want to book.
- Select the date & the number of participants & send the enquiry.
- Fill your name & contact & our team will get back to you regarding your enquiry.
What is the recommended time frame for booking my trek?
Most of the treks in J&K are only open from June to September & there are limited slots available for booking. The Popular treks like KGL, Tarsar Marsar, Gangbal get booked quite early. We recommend you plan your trek 3 to 4 months in advance. This gives you the following benefits:
- You can choose the preferred date as per your convenience.
- If you are not so physically active, it gives you enough time to prepare for the trek.
- If there is any change of plans, you have enough cushion to alter the dates of your booking.
Do I need to pay the full trek fee at the time of booking?
While it is possible to pay in full upon booking, you may also secure your reservation by making a 10% deposit of the trek cost. However, for bookings made within 1 month of the trek date, a minimum deposit of 50% of the trek cost is necessary to confirm your booking.
What is included in the Trek Fee?
Generally, all the costs incurred during your trek are included in the trek fee which includes cost of:
• Transportation from Srinagar to base camp & back.
• Daily meals including snacks, tea etc.
• Accommodation
• Trekking and safety equipment
• All permits & taxes

The date I am looking for is not available. What Should I do?
You can send us an enquiry & we will keep you on the waiting list. If a slot opens up you will be informed immediately. Besides you can always customize a trek as per your requirements.
Can you reschedule my trek to a different date?
Yes, our rescheduling policy gives you the freedom to delay your trek in the event of illness or a personal emergency.
In case you reschedule your trek, the following policy applies:
- If you reschedule your trek 30 days before the actual trek date then the rescheduling will be done free of cost provided the date & slots are available.
- If the rescheduling is done between 7 to 30 days before the actual date of trek then 10% rescheduling charges will have to paid.
- You cannot reschedule your trek if there are less than 7 days left for the trek. You can still contact us & we will try our best to work things out for you.
Can I cancel my trek after booking?
If you have to cancel a trek due to certain circumstances there is no bigger disappointment than that. We understand that sometimes plans change or emergencies occur. So we have tried to make the process as easy as possible.
Our simple terms of cancellation policy are:
- Cancellation Request: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to our email contact@logoutkashmir.com.
- Cancellation Fees: Cancellation fees will be applied based on the time of cancellation and the type of adventure.
- Refunds: Refunds will be processed within 3 days after receiving the cancellation request.Cancellation Fee Schedule
1. More than 30 days prior to date of trek: 15% of the total tour cost
2. 15-30 days prior to date of trek: 50% of the total tour cost
3. Less than 15 days prior to date of trek: 90% of the total tour cost (may be up to 100%)
4. No-show: 100% of the total tour cost.Note: Kashmir is a sensitive yet popular area & due to limited availability of slots, the trek permits, taxes &Â most of the trek expenses are incurred well in advance. Still we try our best to minimize the cancellation cost for you.
Do I get an option to customize a trek?
Yes, we at LogOut Kashmir let you customize any trek or camp based on your requirements.
Here are the customizing options to choose from.
1. Destination: Choose the trekking destinations you are looking for across Kashmir.
2. Duration: Select the length of your trek, from a few days to several weeks.
3. Difficulty Level: Opt for easy, moderate, or challenging treks based on your physical fitness and experience.
4. Accommodation: Choose your accommodation preferences based on availability.
5. Transportation: Select type of vehicle to and from the trekking destination.
6. Food and Beverages: Choose from local cuisine, vegetarian options, or special dietary meals.
How to customize a trek?
1. Initial Consultation: Discuss your preferences, budget, and expectations with our expert.
2. Itinerary Development: Receive a customized itinerary based on your inputs.
3. Revision and Refining: Review and refine the itinerary until you’re satisfied.
4. Booking and Confirmation: Book your trek and receive confirmation of arrangements.
Can I go on a trek while I am menstruating?
Menstruation is a natural part of life, and we believe that it should not be a barrier to participating in outdoor activities like trekking.
At LogOut Kashmir, we welcome women to trek with us while menstruating: We understand that menstruation can be a challenging time, but with proper planning and preparation, it is possible to trek comfortably and safely while menstruating. Our guides and staff are trained to be sensitive and supportive of women’s needs, and we provide a safe and private environment for women to manage their menstrual hygiene..
We provide private and clean facilities for women to manage their menstrual hygiene, including:
1. Toilets and handwashing stations: Our campsites have toilets and handwashing stations that are clean and well-maintained.
2. Sanitary product disposal: We provide a safe and hygienic way to dispose of sanitary products.
3. Menstrual hygiene kits: We offer menstrual hygiene kits that include essential items like sanitary pads, tampons, and wipes.
If you experience any discomfort or pain while trekking, please let our guides know, and we will do our best to provide additional support and accommodations.
Do you organize any women only treks?
Yes, we organize women only treks once or twice a year for the women who feel more comfortable that way.
How is the accommodation shared?
We provide private accommodations for women trekkers, including separate tents, toilets, and shower facilities, to maintain their privacy and dignity.
I am a woman trekker. Is it safe for me to go on a trek in Kashmir?

Do you organize any treks specific for children only?
We organize treks specifically designed for children, which are tailored to their age, abilities, and interests. These treks are designed to be fun, engaging, and educational. Our children-only treks are led by experienced guides who are trained to work with children and provide a safe and supportive environment.
Trek objectives: Our children-only treks are designed to achieve the following objectives:
1. Develop outdoor skills: We teach children essential outdoor skills, such as hiking, camping, and navigation.
2. Promote teamwork and leadership: We encourage children to work together, build relationships, and develop leadership skills.

Yes, we allow parents to trek with children, and we have a range of treks that are suitable for families with kids. Our family-friendly treks are designed to be fun and engaging for children, while also providing a challenging and rewarding experience for adults.
Age restrictions: We have age restrictions for children to ensure their safety and well-being on our treks. The age restrictions vary depending on the trek and the level of difficulty.
Precautions and preparations: When trekking with children, we recommend taking the following precautions and preparations:
1. Assess your child’s abilities: Before booking a trek, assess your child’s physical and emotional abilities to ensure they can keep up with the pace of the trek.
2. Choose a family-friendly trek: Select a trek that is specifically designed for families with children and has a suitable level of difficulty.
3. Inform our guides: Let our guides know if your child has any medical conditions or special needs, so we can provide additional support and accommodations as needed.

Do I need to carry any cutlery during the trek?
Yes, you need to carry a lunch box, a spoon or a fork & a mug preferably made of steel or Titanium.
Can you serve Jain or Vegan food during the trek?
Yes, but you need to convey it to your group coordinator well in advance. Our high altitude chefs are pre informed about the individual food preferences if any.
What kind of food do trekkers get?
Trekkers get healthy & nutritious vegetarian meals thrice a day. You will also be served snacks, tea, coffee etc. during the trek.
Do I need to carry lunch on a day trek?
No, vegetarian & nutritious lunch, snacks & other refreshments are included in most of our day treks. Although you can bring snacks, juices, protein bars etc. of your choice if you want.

Do you provide transportation for day treks?
Yes, transportation to & fro from Srinagar to the starting point of the trek will be provided by us.
What should I bring on a day trek?
Usually you need to bring:
1. Comfortable hiking shoes or boots.
2. Socks and extra socks.
3. Rain Jacket.
4. Backpack or daypack.
5. Water bottle or hydration bladder.
6. Sunscreen.
You can adjust your packing list according to the season & terrain.
Are toilet tent facilities separate for men & women?
Yes, we always set up several toilet tents near the campsite depending upon the number of participants & there will always be one or two toilet tents exclusively for females.
What is the toilet system during a trek?
The only thing that is most convenient during a trek are Toilet tents. They are designed to provide a private and sanitary place for trekkers to use the bathroom, and we usually use them in combination with a portable toilet seat and a cathole.
How toilet tents are used in mountains during a trek:
1. Setting up the toilet tent: The toilet tent is set up in a discreet location, usually near the campsite or trekking trail.
2. Using the toilet tent: Trekkers can enter the toilet tent to use the bathroom, and the tent provides a private and sanitary space for them to do so. The toilet tent usually has a door or a flap that can be closed to provide privacy.
3. Disposal of waste: The waste is usually disposed of in a responsible and sustainable manner, such as by burying it in a cathole.

Where do I keep the extra luggage?
We have a cloakroom facility near our office where you can safely keep your extra luggage. The facility is available to our trekkers free of cost.
